今日は移動だけの一日。
この日は、予算と便利さを考えて、空港隣接の Holiday Inn Express Heathrow に一泊しました。
ホテルは第4ターミナルにあります。第2ターミナルに到着した私たちは、重い荷物を引きずりながら歩き、Heathrow Express / Elizabeth Line（Free Inter-Terminal Transfer） のお世話になりつつ、ようやくたどり着きました。
あ、その前に第2ターミナルで買い物をしたんだっけ。その日のディナーを調達しました。コンビニのようなお店を探していて、M&S にたどり着きました。時間も遅かったので、ビーツのサラダと小さなホワイトワインのボトルを購入。
そんな感じでホテルに到着しました。
少し心配だったのは、空港内とはいえ、第2と第4ターミナルの移動が思った以上に大変だったこと。電車に乗ったり、かなり歩いたりと（ヒースローって本当によく歩かされる印象）。
4日後には早朝便で日本へ向かうので、その日はどのくらい早く起きなければいけないのか——もうそんなことを考えてしまいました。
Today was simply a day of travel.
For this night, we chose to stay at the airport-adjacent Holiday Inn Express Heathrow, balancing budget and convenience.
The hotel is located at Terminal 4. We arrived at Terminal 2 and, dragging our heavy luggage, walked part of the way and relied on the Heathrow Express / Elizabeth Line (Free Inter-Terminal Transfer) to finally reach it.
Oh, before that, we did some shopping at Terminal 2. We picked up dinner for the evening. Looking for something like a convenience store, we ended up at M&S. Since it was already late, I bought a beet salad and a small bottle of white wine.
And that’s how we made it to the hotel.
What worried me slightly was the transfer between Terminals 2 and 4. Even though everything is within the airport, it involved taking a train and walking more than I had expected (Heathrow always feels like an airport where you walk endlessly).
In four days, we’ll be flying to Japan on an early morning flight, and I already found myself wondering how early we would need to wake up.
