久しぶりのタロットブログ

ご無沙汰してしまいました。旅行中を除いては毎日タロットやってるんですが（本当に）。
前回のタロットに関する記事は、
Smoke, Ash ＆Embers (SAE) のウェルカムカードに関してでした （１月２３日）。
SAEを初めてリーディングしたのは１月の下旬、いつもは１っか月リーディングして、
次のタロットに、という感じなのですが、SAEは3月いっぱい付き合っていました。
3月は週末タロットとして、Mystic Mondayを始めました。
そして、4月にはMystic Mondayをメインに。
今度は週末に、トートタロットにチャレンジ。
5月になり、週末のトートは続行、タロットは、Vice-Versa Tarotにシフトしました。
今日は、まとめて、それぞれのウェルカムカード（初めて読んだカードを紹介していきます。

Mystic Mondays – VIII 力

3月1日
白い虎が、攻撃するでもなく、吠えるでもなく、まっすぐこちらへ歩み寄ってくる。
ただ静かに目を合わせてくる。ここでいう強さとは力ではない。揺るがぬ存在感そのもの。

Mystic Mondaysは、明るくシンプルで、ここから何を読み取るんだろうと、
ちょっと心配でした。
カードも厚くてツルツルしていて、今までのカードとは外見も違う。

でも、そのシンプルさが、自由な想像力を掻き立てるのでは、と感じました。

Thoth Tarot -　カップの４

4月4日
対称的で整った水の流れのシステム 蓮の花から絶えず注がれる水。
美しく整えられた流れだけど、それは自然な変化ではなく、維持されている豊かさかもしれない

読み方を変えるよう促してくるタロット。非常に難しい！私は、フリースタイルなリーディングをするので、決まりごとがたくさんあると、つまずいてしまう。

よいトレーニングになると思います。

Vice Versa – ペンタクルの３

5月1日
ゴシック様式の大聖堂のような場所で、職人らしい男性が柱に模様を彫り、もう一人の男性は本を抱えながら真面目にその様子を見ている。反対側では、立方体の石を持った男性が立っていて、
技術や熱意だけでなく、それを支える意図や資源も感じられる。

このタロットのユニークなところは、両面に絵が描かれているととろろです。シャッフルして、カードをひくときは目をつぶったり、薄目を開けてします（笑）。

１枚引いて、２度リーディングする感じがします。
私は出た面（表または裏）を主体に、裏側の意味も考慮します。頭使います。

それぞれの個性

こうして振り返ってみると、ウェルカムカードはやっぱり面白いです。

Mystic Mondaysは、シンプルさの中にある静かな強さ。
Thothは、整った美しさの中にある難しさと訓練。
Vice Versaは、ひとつのカードに複数の視点があること。

それぞれのタロットが、
最初の1枚で「私はこういう読み方をしてほしい」と言っているような気がします。

A Long-Overdue Tarot Blog Post

It has been a while since I wrote a tarot blog post.
Except when I was travelling, I have actually been reading tarot every day. Really.

My last tarot-related post was about the welcome card from Smoke, Ash & Embers Tarot (SAE) on January 23.

I first started reading with SAE in late January.
Usually, I spend about one month reading with one deck before moving on to the next tarot deck,
but I stayed with SAE until the end of March.

In March, I started using Mystic Mondays as my weekend tarot deck.
Then in April, Mystic Mondays became my main deck.

At the same time, I began challenging myself with Thoth Tarot on weekends.

In May, I continued using Thoth on weekends,
while shifting my regular tarot readings to Vice Versa Tarot.

Today, I would like to look back and introduce the welcome card from each of these decks — the first card I drew when I began reading with them.

Mystic Mondays Tarot — VIII Strength

March 1
A white tiger walks straight toward me.
It is not attacking.
It is not roaring.

It simply meets my eyes quietly.

The strength shown here is not force.
It is an unwavering presence.

Mystic Mondays is a bright and simple deck.
At first, I was a little worried and wondered, “What will I be able to read from this?”
The cards are also thick and glossy,
so both the look and the feel are quite different from the decks I had been using before.

But I came to feel that this simplicity may actually encourage a freer kind of imagination.

Thoth Tarot — Four of Cups

April 4
A symmetrical and carefully arranged system of flowing water.
Water pours continuously from lotus flowers.

The flow is beautiful and orderly, but perhaps this is not natural change.
It may be a kind of abundance that is being maintained.

Thoth Tarot is a deck that pushes me to change the way I read.

It is very difficult!

I usually read tarot in a more freestyle way, by looking at the images and sensing what comes from them. So when there are many fixed systems, symbols, and rules, I sometimes stumble.

But for that reason, I think it is very good training.

Vice Versa Tarot — Three of Pentacles

May 1
In a place that looks like a Gothic cathedral, a craftsman-like man is carving patterns into a pillar.
Another man is holding a book and watching him seriously.

On the other side of the card, a man stands holding a cube-shaped stone. I sense not only skill and enthusiasm, but also the intention and resources that support the work.

The unique thing about this tarot deck is that both sides of each card have illustrations.
When I shuffle and draw a card,
I close my eyes or keep them only half open so I do not see which side is coming up.

I feel as if I am reading one card twice.

I mainly read the side that appears, whether it is the front or the back,
but I also take the meaning of the other side into account.

It makes my brain work.

Three Different Entrances

Looking back like this, welcome cards are very interesting.

Mystic Mondays showed me a quiet strength within simplicity.
Thoth showed me beauty, structure, difficulty, and training.
Vice Versa showed me that one card can contain more than one point of view.

It feels as if each deck used its first card to tell me, “This is how I would like you to read me.”

This became a long-overdue tarot blog post, but my daily conversations with the cards have continued.
