今日は、新しいタロットを紹介したいと思います。Three Trees から出版されているOak, Ash & Thorn (OAT) Tarot の姉妹タロットの、Smoke, Ash ＆Embers (SAE)。じつはこれ、私がリクエストして、夫が送ってくれたクリスマスプレゼントです。OATは、スートによって、描かれている動物が違います（ワンドのキツネ、カップのリス、ソードのカラス、ペンタクルのウサギ）。SAEは、すべてのスートにドラゴンが描かれています。ただ、スートによって色が違います。ワンドは赤、ペンタクルは緑、ソードは黒、カップは水色、というように。今日はSAEで最初に引いたウェルカムカードについて書きたいと思います。

絵柄

炎のドラゴンが空を飛びながら、蝶を追いかけている。
ドラゴンはワンドを持ち、その先にはリボンがたなびいている。
とても興奮しているようで、鼻からは煙がくゆっている。
雲のはるか上を飛んでいるのかもしれない。背景には太陽がある。

解釈

炎のドラゴンは、我を忘れて楽しんでいる。
若くて冒険的で、その動きは攻撃ではなく、ただ純粋な好奇心から生まれているように見える。煙も、ワンドも、たなびくリボンも、すべてが軽やかで遊びの延長にある。

追いかけている蝶は、この瞬間の美しさやひらめきのような存在。
そういうものがそこにあること自体が、すでに幸せなのだと思う。

Today, I’d like to introduce a new tarot deck.
It is Smoke, Ash & Embers (SAE), a sister deck to the Oak, Ash & Thorn Tarot, both published by Three Trees Tarot.

Actually, this deck was a Christmas present—I requested it, and my husband ordered it to me.

In OAT, each suit is represented by a different animal (foxes for Wands, squirrels for Cups, crows for Swords, and hares for Pentacles).
In SAE, dragons appear in every suit. However, each suit is distinguished by colour: red for Wands, light blue for Cups, black for Swords, and green for Pentacles.

Today, I’d like to write about the Welcome card I drew from SAE.

Imagery

A fire dragon flies through the sky, chasing a butterfly.
It holds a wand, with a ribbon streaming from its tip.

The dragon looks very excited—smoke curling from its nose.
It may be flying far above the clouds, with the sun in the background.

Interpretation

A fire dragon is enjoying itself, completely forgetting everything else.
Young and adventurous, its movement is not aggressive, but born from pure curiosity. The smoke, the wand, and the ribbon streaming behind it all feel light—an extension of play.

The butterfly it is chasing feels like a moment of beauty or a spark of inspiration.
The fact that such things exist at all already feels like happiness.

Just go on—keep chasing it.
